BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Independent MP Kadhim al-Sayadi called the Iraqi government to abrogate all weaponry contracts signed with the US side, for not implementing their terms and finding new alternatives.
Sayadi added that the US side did not implement the promises to the Iraqi government on providing weapons and aircrafts for a long period.
He called for signing contracts with Russia, renewing their previous contracts or making contracts with new countries.
Earlier, Iraqi defence ministry announced that it will have US weaponry till 2013 with the amount of 13 billion dollars, comprising of aircrafts, tanks, armed vehicles, helicopters, war vessels, rockets and other weapons and special equipment.
