The Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said Iraq would not be able to regain their sovereignty and independence as long as remain under sanctions imposed by the United Nations after the war to liberate Kuwait.

Zebari said in remarks to reporters that the payment of billions of dollars in Iraq, according to the terms of the sanctions.

He expressed the view that it was time to lift all restrictions on the country and the restoration of natural sites in the world.

The Foreign Minister pointed out that Iraq is still paying for Kuwait the past 5% of oil revenues.
