Missing Kuwaitis issue humanitarian, not political cause - PM

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said on Monday that the missing Kuwaitis issue is a humanitarian and not a political issue, according to a statement of his office.
“The premier asserted the government’s commitment to cooperate regarding the issues of missing Kuwaitis and properties,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
This came during his meeting with a mission from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
“Iraq overcame several difficulties in the past two months and the security condition is improving,” the premier said.
The president of the ICRC in Iraq for his part, hailed the development in Iraq and its commitment to solve the missing Kuwaitis issue.
