اAl-Dabbagh: the Council of Ministers approves national strategy to combat corruption for the years 2010-2014 and directs the work of



Said government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said the Cabinet decided to approve the national strategy to combat corruption for the years 2010-2014 made by the Joint Anti-corruption in Iraq and to work by the ministries, provinces and stakeholders in the strategy.


Dabbagh said that the approval of the national strategy for fighting corruption is for an administrative reform and to reflect the principles of the rule of law and good performance of the services and the development of financial management and public property and to promote a culture of integrity, transparency and human rights and effective control procedures and accountability and has developed special procedures detailed action plan to address the negative phenomena and the fight against corruption for the years (2010 - 2014) by activating the preventive and corrective action to address the negative phenomena in the performance of state institutions and put these procedures in an effective and coordinated policy framework for economic reform and in conformity with the terms of the United Nations Convention against Corruption and to ensure community participation in reducing the negative phenomena expected to occur or diagnoses and identify causes in a clear and precise and to distinguish between what is the phenomenon of corruption and poor performance is touched on the plan of action to explain the phenomenon and then the negative effects of proliferation and the target to address those negative phenomenon and an action plan to address them and the time necessary to do so with the determination of the implementing treatment and who is responsible for follow-up and implementation of the Plan treatment of the phenomenon with negative indicators of treatment and they plan included multiple facilities, a legislative system and political system, the judiciary, elections and the activity of education, industry, mining and agricultural activities, irrigation, environmental protection, municipal and public works, culture, justice, trade and business activity, Social Affairs and Health, Planning and Development Cooperation and Oil Affairs and Endowments, financial and public events and phenomena sporadic.
