U.S. report critical of spending on contract to train Iraqi police

(Voice of Iraq) - 25/01/2010

PNA - reported the Washington Post reported Monday that the U.S. special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction renewed his criticism of the expenses of DynCorp International contract with the U.S. Department of Defense to train Iraqi police as part of a contract worth $ 2.5 billion.

The newspaper added that the inspector general Stuart Bowen. R also noted in a report due to be released on Monday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the consistent failure to properly oversee the contract and duration of five years.

The newspaper quoted the report as saying that "more than $ 2.5 billion in American funds exposed to loss and fraud" as a result.

The newspaper said the report dealt with only funding did not touch on whether the training efforts, successful or unsuccessful.

The newspaper added that the second time in three years the Inspector General criticizing the spending on DynCorp held the paper quoted the Foreign Ministry as saying that the accusation was "baseless."

And people wonder were all the Debt came from that the USA has..........wow this goof started 5 years ago and cost tax payers 2.5 billion
