Kuwait-Iraq talks on POWs still on - envoy

DOHA, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador in Qatar Suleiman al-Murjan said here Tuesday Kuwaiti-Iraqi talks on Kuwaiti prisoners of war (POWs), compensations and border signs are still continuing.
The ambassador was speaking to KUNA and local press representatives in Qatar on the occasion of Kuwait's celebration of the National Day and Liberation Day, which falls on February 25 and 26 respectively.
Stressing Kuwaiti-Iraqi relations as "firm", the top Kuwaiti diplomat in Doha said: "Iraq is seeking to exist from Chapter VII, and we wish they can do so, but there are requirements to meet first." In this context, he urged the Iraqi government to exert more effort to resolve the dossier of Kuwaiti POWs by revealing the whereabouts of their dead bodies. (end) th.mah.mt KUNA 231932 Feb 10NNNN
