5-Year Plan to Boost GDP in Iraq

A 5-year National Development Plan (NDP) will be launched on 4 July 2010, the Iraqi Planning Ministry said on 30 June 2010. “The NDP will be for the years 2010 to 2014,” the ministry said in a release. The plan aims at minimizing differences between urban and rural areas, improving infrastructures, providing job opportunities, and boosting Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 9.38% as an average annual growth within the NDP’s timeframe. - Aswat Al Iraq

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi government on Sunday launched the 5-year National Development Plan (NDP) for the years 2010-2014.

The plan was revealed in a celebration in Baghdad, which was attended by a number of Iraqi officials.
