The latest round of test has came up with. Her aorta is inlarged and 2 of the 3 main arterys that come of the aorta is blocked. This friday they are going to do a anyogram and see if they can do stents at that time. If they cant she has a appt for surgury in little rock the 23rd I think.
We are hoping for the stents, thats the easy fix. The alternitive is to do bypass on 2 of the 3 cloged arterys. We have been told there is only a 30% success with this bypass.

Thoughts and prayers for you both,lionheat

Just got back from the hospital. There from 7am to 4;30 pm. They wasnt able to put a stint in the main artery off the aorta but was able to go in behind the heart and get a stint in the top artery, the 3rd on is partially blocked and with 6 months of plavic they hope it will open up. She goes back in 30 days for follow up. If all is well the double bypass wont have to be done. She ait a ham sandwich, a cookie and a bag of chips (hospital food ??) 2 hr after surgury and not a pain one. first thing she has been able to eat with out pain in over a year. This is a good sign. Last night she ate a single slice of bread and was up all night in pain, so this is a good sign. Now we hope she can gain back most of her muscle mass she lost with the wieght.
