Iraq and China agree to raise bilateral trade to $10 billion dollars

Baghdad, July 22 (Rn) – An adviser in the Iraqi government on Friday announced the signing of Baghdad and Beijing signed an agreement to raise the volume of bilateral trade to $10 billion from $6 billion now.
Salam al-Quraishi, a Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “Iraq agreed with China on expanding commercial and industrial enterprises to raise their bilateral trade to 10 billion dollars and the formation of a joint committee to achieve this purpose.”
The estimated volume of trade exchange between the two countries is currently $ 6 billion annually.
Qureshi added that “the Commission will work to raise the trade exchange through coordination between government ministries and Chinese companies sober.”
He explained that “the Joint Economic Committee will work to clarify the joints of the development of trade exchange between the two countries will also provide mechanisms for partnership contracts signed between Chinese companies and factories, the Iraqi government.”
The Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has visited Beijing at the head of government delegation this week, the visit resulted in signing of three economic memorandums related to supporting the Iraqi industry and attract investment companies.
