The Iraqi oil ministry bring back (47, 757, 865, 86) million U.S dollars.
The Iraqi oil ministry brought back (47,757,865,86) million U.S dollars which was confiscated in the deposit account in (Intesa Sanpaolo) bank ,London branch since 1990 which was dedicated for the project of the Iraqi –Saudi pipeline extension. The fund has been reserved according to the international decision to block the Iraqi funds in the international banks.
An official source at the oil ministry said that the legal department in the ministry has filed a lawsuit in the Court of London against foreign companies that had been holding the money and succeeded to restore the full amount. Transferred it to the account of the Central Bank of Iraq in the Iraqi Development Fund, "dfi".
