BAGHDAD: The Iraqi Parliament's financial committee has suggested recycling funds to accelerate the execution of investment projects, the committee's head said on Tuesday.
"The suggestion is related to investment projects, especially those that have been in execution for more than a year," Lawmaker Alaa Saadon told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"The proposal means that the funds will be recycled without passing through the State's treasury," she said.
Saadon pointed out that her committee has received the 2009 complimentary budget from the cabinet.
She said that the complimentary budget embraces an amount of 5.3 trillion Iraqi dinars.
