BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Ministry of Oil on Monday said that the country’s oil export proceeds until the beginning of this month were $20 billion U.S. dollars.
“The annual oil revenues have jumped from $5 billion in 2003 to $60 billion in 2008,” the director general of oil marketing in the ministry, Falah Jassem al-Aamery, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Oil prices have also risen from $25 a barrel in 2003 to $87 a barrel in 2008, he added.
