Delay in investment bill passage curbs projects – governor

The delay in passing the investment bill by the Iraqi
parliament curbs development and reconstruction projects in Muthanna,
the province’s governor said Monday.
“This issue is related to all Iraqi provinces, including Muthanna,” Governor Ibrahim al-Mayiali told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Iraq will be kept within the same point if this bill is not passed quickly,” he said.
“Political entities that delay the process of passing this bill are harming the country’s prosperity,” al-Mayiali said.
Samawa, the capital city of Muthanna province, lies 280 km south of Baghdad.
