Underlined the support of the sovereign right of the UAE over the three islands
"GCC-Ministerial" supports the unity and stability of Yemen and cost-Attiyah visit Sanaa

Foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council Gulf Arab states last night of their ministerial meeting in regular session, the 112 in Jeddah under the chairmanship of the Minister responsible for Foreign Affairs of Oman, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah and participation of the Secretary General of the Council Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Attiyah.

The delegation was led by UAE at the meeting, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash.

The council called in a statement issued at the conclusion of the meeting the Palestinian forces to resume dialogue and reach an agreement, and called on her to put on the list of priorities of the national interest of the Palestinian people realize their aspirations to establish their independent state with its capital in Jerusalem.

The Council stressed that peace in the interest of all parties and peace and security for "Israel" will not be achieved only with the establishment of a Palestinian state with its capital in Jerusalem.

And demanded the government "Israeli" new commitment to the principle of two-state solution to achieve a just, full and comprehensive based on the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions and the principle of land for peace.

He also called for the government, "Israel" to withdraw from all occupied Arab territories in the occupied Syrian Golan to the lines of June 1967 and the other occupied Arab territories in southern Lebanon.

The Council called upon the international community and the United States in particular and the international Quartet and the European Union and its Member States to put pressure on "Israel" to compel it to abide by the resolutions of international legitimacy and the complete cessation of settlement construction and remove them.

He expressed concern at the continued deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and demanded the international community to carry out its responsibilities towards lifting the unjust embargo and the suffering of the Palestinian people in the sector.

On the Iranian nuclear file stressed the importance of adhering to the principles of international legitimacy and resolve conflicts by peaceful means looking forward to continued consultations between the West and Iran in this regard. He expressed hope for a peaceful solution to this crisis and reaffirmed the right of states to acquire nuclear technology for peaceful uses.

And on relations with Iran, the Council reaffirmed the importance of adhering to the principles and policies of good neighborliness and non-interference in internal affairs and resolve differences through peaceful means. The Council also support the right of sovereignty to the Arab Emirates over its three islands and territorial waters.

He stressed the Council of Ministers concerning the situation between Kuwait and Iraq that Iraq must implement all UN Security Council resolutions relevant.

On Iraq, the Council renewed reiterate its firm position towards Iraq and of respect for Iraq's unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and non-interference in its internal affairs.

As for the situation in Yemen, the Council expressed its full support for the unity, security and stability of Yemen, and reiterated its support for all efforts aimed to promote dialogue and to maintain the overall interest. And instructed the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council visited Sanaa to consult with the Yemeni government.

On the issue of the Lebanese Ministerial Council commended the conduct of Lebanon ahead in implementation of the Doha agreement and expressed its support for Lebanon in its quest to form a government.

On the Sudanese file the Council expressed its support for the efforts of Qatar and the joint mediator of the African Union and the United Nations in the context of the Arab Ministerial Committee - the African peace in Darfur.

On Somalia and the Council stressed its support for the president-elect and his government legitimacy and at the same time stressed the importance of national dialogue among all Somali parties.

The Council reaffirmed its support for the call made by Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah at the Arab Economic Summit held in Kuwait appraising what has been achieved at the level of Arab reconciliation and the return of cohesion and solidarity to the Arab ranks to face the difficult circumstances a strong collective Arab will be able to meet the challenges and risks.
