Kuwait’s cabinet approved a draft decree to set up a new bank with 100 million dinar ($349 million) in capital, the state news agency KUNA reported, citing the state minister for cabinet affairs.
Warba Bank will be established as a shareholding company with 24 percent of its shares owned by the Kuwait Investment Authority, Roudhan al-Roudhan said, according to KUNA. The remaining 76 percent of shares will be offered to all Kuwaitis, al-Roudhan was cited as saying.
