Therefore, we request a clear resolution issued by the Security Council to terminate all resolutions issued under chapter VII which affected the sovereignty of Iraq and led to financial obligations which are still binding on Iraq because the situation which necessitated the adoption of those resolutions no longer exists.
There are many separate resolutions that contributed to Iraq's Chapter VII status over the years. What better way to resolve this issue once and for all....than to simply ask for a new resolution....DOING AWAY WITH ALL FORMER RESOLUTIONS.
