BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi parliament will vote this month over the 2010 state budget, according to a member in the parliament’s financial committee on Friday.
“The legislators will vote by the end of this year over the 2010 state budget that is expected to hit 83 trillion Iraqi dinars,” Sami al-Atroushi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Atroushi pointed out that the Kurds “would reject the 4th paragraph of Article 17, forced by the oil ministry into the draft budget.
The paragraph stipulates that the government is entitled to cut the amounts of money worth of harms caused by a province or a region from the budget if that province or region proved to be encumbering oil exports.
