A ministerial committee to develop a mechanism to ensure the protection of Iraqi funds after the expiration of the mandate of the Development Fund for Iraq
Council of Ministers decided on Tuesday to form a ministerial committee shall establish a mechanism to ensure the protection of Iraqi funds after the expiration of the mandate of the Development Fund for Iraq at the end of 2010.
A statement from the Office of the Spokesman, Iraqi government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh has received Agency (Voices of Iraq) said the council decided to "approve the formation of a committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister and membership of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Finance, Planning and oil, Justice and Central Bank Governor and Chairman of the Financial Inspection Office and Advisor to the Prime Minister of Legal Affairs shall establish a mechanism to ensure full protection of Iraqi funds after the expiration of the mandate of the Development Fund for Iraq by end of 2010. "
The statement added that the resolution noted that "the Commission should complete its work within thirty days and submit its recommendations to the Cabinet."
The UN Security Council issued late last year to extend the protection of the Development Fund for Iraq for a whole year until the thirty-atheist of December of next year.
