Iraqi government: to authorize the sub-committees in each ministry to check the Iraqi private sector benefits

Erbil, February 1 (AKnews) - announced the official spokesman for the Iraqi government Monday, said the Cabinet decided to authorize the sub-committees in each ministry to check the benefits the Iraqi private sector individuals, companies and demonstrate the value of debt and schedules of all creditor claims and submit them to the Secretariat for the Council of Ministers for submission to the a central committee and then presented to the competent Minister to make a decision later in the topic on the settlement of these debts.


And shift the center of the national media spokesman as saying that "approval to authorize sub-committees in each ministry to check the benefits the Iraqi private sector comes to the purpose of achieving a balance between the preservation of public money and to meet Government's firm debts they accrue in order to preserve public confidence."


According to the Center spokesman added that "the move is designed to not harm the rights of others, where the process of developing common disciplines for the disbursement of benefits the private sector, which over a period of time it is sensitive and delicate issue especially since some of the documents and supporting documents have been burnt or destroyed during the events and award involves importance to repay debts and meet the Government's firm maturity. "


The spokesman also explained that "the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers decided to hold a meeting for a number of specialists in the legal department in the Secretariat and the Department of public debt in the Ministry of Finance and Audit Department of industrial activity in the Office of Financial Supervision and the Legal Department in the Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation and the Legal Department in the form of integrity for this purpose" .. stating that "resulted from that meeting a set of conclusions, including that the claims come from the private sector contracts for the supply and contract and other contracts entered into prior to April 2003 and fulfilled its obligations contracted the processing of the goods in full and the rest of the other commitments."


He pointed out that most of the "These contracts are contracts for the supply and contracting for private sector companies to fulfill requests Iraqi claims owed to it owed by ministries and departments not associated with a ministry of which are promiscuous, including what is," according to the National Media Center.
