Kuwaitis afraid to invest in Iraq – MP

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Kuwaiti authorities have fears that Iraqi debt owed to Kuwait might turn into Kuwaiti investments in Iraq for security concerns, head of the Iraqi Parliament’s financial committee said on Tuesday.
“Kuwaitis want guarantees,” Lawmaker Alaa al-Saadon told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
She said that her committee will convey these fears to the Iraqi government.
