U.S. dollar reserve status to remain: IMF official

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar's status as the world's dominant reserve currency is likely to remain that way, a senior International Monetary Fund official said on Monday.
"The dollar is the principal reserve currency in the global economy and will remain so for as far as we can see," IMF First Deputy Managing Director John Lipsky told a news conference to discuss the U.S. economy.
