Basra province, announced Wednesday, a plan to regulate the use of funds to be obtained to maintain the proceeds of oil produced from the fields to the rebuilding of infrastructure and the promotion of service to reality in the province, confirmed that the oil revenue this year is estimated at $ 700 billion.


The governor of Basra Cltag Abboud during a press conference held at his office this afternoon, and attended the "Alsumaria News" "The conservative and developed a comprehensive plan to regulate the funds would be spent during the current year for each barrel of product from the fields", stating that "The plan focuses on support service sectors in the province. "


The Iraqi Council of Representatives approved in the month of January last to allocate one dollar for every barrel of provinces produced in oil fields located within the geographical Rqaha.



Abboud explained that "the funds would be maintained by an estimated 700 billion dinars," noting that "200 billion dinars will be earmarked for the implementation of sector-related projects, carried out by sewage Ghebrakash Hindi, in addition to 100 billion dinars for the implementation of expansion projects and maintenance of electrical distribution networks, and 58 billion dinars to build and rehabilitation of a number of schools in the province, and 18 billion dinars for the advancement of the health sector and 45 billion dinars for the implementation of projects, garbage collection and recycling by a foreign company. "


He pointed out that the governor of Basra, "the coming days will direct the implementation of a new road linking the Basra International Airport and the city sports that are being implemented in the Bab al-Zubayr", 10 km west of Basra city, pointing out that "has been allocated 18 billion dinars for the development of Basra International Airport."


Cltag Abboud said that "Basra is seeking to contract with foreign companies for the implementation of large projects," attributing the cause to "the lack of Iraqi companies the ability to complete large projects, as well as they did not meet their obligations with the local government in the province would be barred from working permanently in the province ".


The Council of Ministers approved in its session of the thirteenth month of October, the federal budget for 2010 of $ 83 trillion Iraqi dinars, which contains the supplementary budget for the year 2009, amounting to five trillion and 300 billion, and has been approved by the House of Representatives in January last year, while asked provinces to increase their share of the budget


The Basra province, about 590 km south of Baghdad experienced after 2003, the implementation of hundreds of projects about the reality of the service but did not cast a shadow over the lives of citizens who still suffer badly from frequent power outages and pollution of their neighborhoods as well as waste from the lack of safe drinking water.
