Kirkuk council in emergency meeting over joint projects

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: The Kirkuk council has held an emergency
meeting with the U.S. forces and the local reconstruction center to
discuss joint projects, a local media source said on Sunday.
“The meeting has tackled joint projects that could be carried out by
the U.S. forces and the Kirkuk Reconstruction Center to improve the
city’s services situation…,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and
Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
