Sarkozy Seeks Hu Support for Monetary Reform on Visit to China

April 27 (Bloomberg) -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy will seek China's backing for his plan to overhaul the global monetary system during talks in Beijing with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao.
Sarkozy, who arrives on a three-day state visit tomorrow, has called for "a new Bretton Woods" regulating financial ties and criticized "volatility and undervaluation" in the monetary system.
