Maliki welcomes meeting with Allawi

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Nouri al-Maliki, head of the Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance welcomed on Sunday a meeting with Ayad Allawi, head of the Al-Iraqiya Alliance.
“There is no dispute or enmity between us and Allawi,” al-Maliki told the press.
He noted that there could be a meeting between the two blocs in addition to the Iraqi National Alliance (INA).
The three entities were the biggest winners in recent parliamentary election in Iraq.
“We welcome a meeting with Allawi,” al-Maliki stressed.
