l-Kut postponed the celebration until the withdrawal of U.S. forces on Thursday

Delayed local authorities in Kut province, the official
and popular celebrations to mark the withdrawal of U.S. troops from
Iraqi cities and towns until the next Thursday.

Said Capt. Haidar al-Saidi's official spokesman
told the police forces in the "Radio Sawa" The postponement came at the
request of the Interior Ministry, noting that the celebrations will
start on Thursday, declining to give more details on the reasons for
this postponement.

Ago and the city of Kut, a manifestation of joy on this occasion, at a
time when the population welcomed the withdrawal of these troops.

One of them said in a statement to the correspondent of "Radio Sawa":
"This is a great day for the Iraqi people and all honest Ifarahon today
the departure of U.S. troops. This withdrawal will not affect the
security of our region ever since the Iraqi forces able to respond to
provocation."

He said the citizen: "This is a great day. We are happy and we have an army capable of providing security and control of the situation, even before this date. Our security forces to assume control of the situation and to
this day to rejoice the occasion of the Iraqi people."

The U.S. forces had completed their withdrawal on Monday of the district and all aspects of the Al-Kut in the Delta military base.

On the other hand, Colonel Richard
Francis said the commander of U.S. forces stationed in Wasit that seeks
to strengthen its security and stability in the province of Kut after the completion of the withdrawal from cities.

Colonel Francis said in a statement to the correspondent of "Radio Sawa" to Iraqi security forces are ready to take over the task of maintaining security and order after the withdrawal of its troops, noting that coalition forces made great sacrifices to reach this stage, he said.

Colonel Francis, denied news reports that some segments of the popular faith in the city on the security forces of creating crises in order after its return to the center of the city and towns that belong to him, saying that those forces will work to assist the Iraqi security services in order to
establish security.
