Hashemi: We look forward to the role of French in ousting Iraq from Section VII

Professor Tariq al-Hashemi, Vice President of the Republic on the importance of the French role in ousting Iraq from Section VII as well as its legal and support of Iraq in international forums, he stressed the need for participation of French companies and investment in the reconstruction of Iraq, thus contributing to strengthening economic and political relations between the two countries.

This came during a meeting with Mr. François Fillon sovereignty Prime Minister of France Ms. Christine Lagarde Minister of Economy, Industry and Labor and the French delegation accompanying them.

Mr. al-Hashemi and the important role played by the European Union and in the rehabilitation of Iraq's return to the embrace of a healthy international community through the support and improvement of national sovereignty and to help them in the face of economic challenges in the restructuring of the political process in accordance with the standards established in the International Covenant document, stressing the importance of this role in the achievement of national reconciliation and the guarantee of human rights and address the financial and administrative corruption, which constitute together a political reform.

For his part, French Prime Minister on his country's keenness to provide support to Iraq in all its forms, and that his country will send a mission headed by the Minister for Judicial Justice to provide support and advice for the reform of the judiciary, which Mr. al-Hashemi said it in more than one occasion, either in regard to investment In Iraq, the French stressed the keenness and enthusiasm of the French companies to invest in Iraq.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Fillon as respect for the French Government and the appreciation of the role played by Mr. Hashemi to bridge the gap in views among Iraqi politicians expressed hope that the sovereignty meets the invitation to visit France and meet French President.

Dabbagh: Letter of intent between the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Iraq, the Ministry of Interior of the French Republic

The Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Iraq, and the Ministry of Interior of the French Republic Almsmytan below, respectively, "the Iraqi side" and the "French party" and together the "Parties",
Looking to strengthen their relationship with distinct and sustainable,
Desiring to develop bilateral cooperation and in the field of internal security,
1)their intention to announce the following:
- An agreement designed to identify the activities of cooperation and organization, as well as the methods of implementation.
- The inclusion of the following areas of cooperation in this Agreement:
Technical cooperation:
- Exchange of experiences on the topics to be determined by mutual agreement.
-Communications between the parties through visits by the highest authorities
And staff exchanges.
Cooperation in the field of rehabilitation of the Internal Security Forces:
- Follow-up sessions in the context of the ongoing rehabilitation program of the European Union EUJUST LEX
- Rehabilitation of the overall fight against terrorism in its components,
- Rehabilitation of the fight against organized crime, especially money laundering, the identification of funds
Resulting from the crimes and the fight against computer crime.
Operational cooperation:
- The establishment of bilateral relationship at the earliest time in the fight against terrorism through the exchange of
Information.
Cooperation in the field of internal security technologies:
- To invite the Iraqi party to France in order to assess their needs in an orderly fashion in
Equipment,
-Provide advice in the areas of information and telecommunications networks, systems, helicopters and
Electronic surveillance of borders, land and air, and equipment to maintain security.
2) in order to facilitate this dynamic, a party has always been a correspondent for the French Party of Iraq, with a supplement of Homeland Security who lives in Jordan.
3) Declaration of Intent does not constitute a commitment to funding or to participate in this cooperation and it is not a legally binding commitment between the parties, not only in the framework of national law, in the framework of international law. Such an obligation arises only as a result of the cooperation agreement mentioned in paragraph 1, and concluded in accordance with the procedures for national approval of both parties.This Agreement is executed within the limits of the possibilities that can be allocated to each party to it.
Done at Baghdad on July 2, 2009 copies, each in Arabic and French texts are equally authentic legal.
