French court Lagarde questioning in a corruption case

Paris (dpa) - A French court yesterday began questioning Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde for her role in the payment of a large sum to a businessman in 2008 when she was minister of finance in the country.
It is suspected that Lagarde '57-year-old' arranged arbitration proceedings led the country to pay compensation of more than 285 million euros ($ 369 million) to Bernard Tapie in 2008 when she was Minister of Finance.
