Official, businessmen consider activation of private sector

Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Rafie al-Issawi discussed in a meeting with Iraqi businessmen and investors on Thursday the best ways to invigorate the private sectors, according to a release by his office.
"Deputy Premier Issawi listened to opinions and proposals by businessmen to remove obstacles hindering their participation in investment projects in the country," read the release as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Issawi stressed the importance of enhancing the roles played by both the private and cooperative sectors in the reconstruction of Iraq and the investment opportunities available in all fields.
