Hashemi: Government of future partnership will work on the liberalization of the economy

Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, Iraq's aspiration to build economic alliances and strategic partnerships with countries of the world would enable it to capacity building and competitiveness through the activation of the investment.
He attributed the delay in al-Hashemi to take many of the economic and financial decision task, which is still on the agenda of the government, to the delay in forming the new government.
And Iraq said in a speech delivered by events within the International Business Forum XIV held in Istanbul yesterday: that «to be in economic terms is to form a partnership government and strong national capable of promoting social and economic situation».
Vice-President added that the government of national partnership next will «liberalization of the economy from dependence on oil revenues, and restructuring of the annual budget of the State for the benefit of the investment program», referring to «Iraq sought to promote the private sector of Iraq and abandon the state gradually for many of the activities and tasks for him, and re- settlement of the Iraqi capital on the one hand and attract foreign investment with all the means of capital and advanced technology, modern management and accumulated experience ».
He also said al-Hashemi said «the many challenges faced by Iraq at the moment did not affect the look of Iraqis optimistic for the future of their country is an objective look at what is available to Iraq of the conditions of the promotion and upgrading, not the least wealth hydrocarbon in the oil and gas, which made him the second richest country in the world, but for its wealth in minerals, agriculture, tourism and other », pointing out that the wealth of Iraq is the biggest real wealth of human creative.
He stated that «study the future of Iraq carefully, make one realize that he kissed on the process of reconstruction and the comprehensive development of all sectors of the national economy because the goals of development that we seek to achieve in the economic and social side through the next government, are the objectives of a large and ambitious».
He said the vice president said: The « Iraq looks forward to economic alliances and partnerships strategy would enable it to capacity building and competitiveness », calling on investors, states and businessmen, to benefit from investment opportunities and privileges and guarantees provided by the Investment Law No. (13) for the year 2006 and its amendments for foreign investors, as well as benefit from the recent modifications Investment Act in order to activate the presence of various companies and their participation in investment in Iraq.
Hashemi said that foreign investment was able to achieve its investment objectives in Iraq as a result of the privileges and opportunities of the above mentioned, with an additional improvements in security makes it easier for the movement of the investors inside Iraq, in addition to the provision of government the required security for investment projects in all provinces ».
The al-Hashemi heads an official delegation of representatives of ministries and governors to the activities of the International Business Forum XIV held in Istanbul, Turkey.
