China c.bank to sell 40 bln yuan 1-year bills
SHANGHAI, Oct 25 (Reuters) - China's central bank said on
Monday that it would auction 40 billion yuan ($6.0 billion) of
one-year bills in its open market operations on Tuesday, down
from 43 billion yuan of such bills sold last week.
A total of 75 billion yuan in central bank bills and repos
are due to mature this week.
Last week, the PBOC conducted a net drain of 61 billion yuan
from the banking system last week, suggesting it intends to cut
the supply of cash in the market.
