Japanese official said that big countries should support the dollar as a currency of international President, despite the fact that emerging countries have been considering a new global reserve currency, on the sidelines of the Group of Eight summit next week. The sources said the Group of Eight leading industrialized nations, said China had asked to discuss a new reserve currency when the Group of Eight leaders meet with a group of five with the largest emerging economies next week in Italy.
