Iraq seeks to be removed from UN Chapter VII

Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Rafea Al Issawi engaged in talks with the United States to remove Iraq from UN Charter Chapter VII.
Al Issawi met with UN deputy Secretary General for economic and development affairs Aisha Roz and discussed draft resolutions brought forward by the government to disengage from past International Resolutions issued after the Security Council decided to reconsider international sanctions on Iraq in preparation to remove the country from UN Charter Chapter VII.
