JUST have to Love NASA updates:
UPDATE 8/4/11: This morning's M9-class eruption propelled a bright CME toward Earth. Moving at an estimated speed of 1950 km/s, the cloud is expected to sweep up two earlier CMEs already en route. Analysts at the GSFC Space Weather Lab say the combined CME should reach Earth on August 5th at 13:55 UT plus or minus 7 hours. "The impact on Earth is likely to be major: the estimated maximum geomagnetic activity index level Kp is 7 (Kp ranges from 0 - 9). The flanks of the CME may also impact STEREO A, Mars and Mercury/MESSENGER."

Actually there was one on Aug 1, one yesterday, and 2 today .. one in middle of the night and one this AM around 8 am . So this is 4 CME's arriving at once and seems they pushed the date of arrival up as the 2 today moved them along .. sorta like the info on the carrington event, that one was 2 at once , the 2nd pushing the first ahead of scheduled arrival .
Last time we had a X flare...it caused Japan 9.0...I hate to think what this will do..but I'll be looking for a 9.0 again.
