Council approved the Presidency of the Republic on legal income tax on foreign oil companies operating in Iraq, disengagement of social affairs departments in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
A presidential statement said the presidency council ratified in its meeting held yesterday on the law to impose income tax on foreign oil companies contracting for work in Iraq.

Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani said that investment in oil contracts for the two rounds of the first and second licenses will increase from the $ 100 billion, and provides thousands of jobs for Iraqis, as contracts have included a requirement not less than the number of Iraqis from 58 percent of the total staff.
