Foreign minister leaves for UN to review resolutions of Chapter VII on Iraq.

Foreign Minister Zebari headed on July 12, 2009, on the head of a government delegation to begin the revision of the international resolutions imposed on Iraq under Chapter VII.
The delegation will meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and his advisers in the Secretariat and members of the Security Council.
The resolution 1859, which was negotiated by Iraq with the Security Council ended the mandate of the multinational forces in Iraq ensures that both Iraq and the United Nations review all the resolutions issued against Iraq under Chapter VII since 1990.
The UN Secretary-General will submit his report on the Security Council's review to take action Iraq's request on sanctions of Chapter VII in meeting its international obligations.
