According to the Iraqi MP Osama Najifi that the issue of constitutional amendments would leave until after the next parliamentary elections scheduled to take place on the sixteenth of the month of January next.
He told the Kurdistan Najifi news that the absence of political consensus on the issue of constitutional amendments, as well as the lack of seriousness of the political blocs to be completed during the remainder of the work of the current parliament indicate a desire to postpone the discussion of the file of the constitutional amendments.
He said that the Iraqi constitution contains clauses that make it difficult to have any amendment to it.
He Najifi that constitutional amendments will not be until after the election of the next parliament unless there is a real change in the existing political figures, which runs the political process in Iraq.
