Foreign Minister in NY

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari is in New York to discuss with the United Nations secretary general methods to exclude Iraq from the rules of Chapter-7 of the UN Charter.
“Zebari arrived in NY on Sunday (July 11),” the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said on its Web site.
It explained that Zebari and the governmental delegation accompanying him will also discuss methods to protect Iraqi funds outside Iraq.
“In addition to UN secretary general and his top aides, Zebari will also meet representatives of the five permanent members in Security Council,” the ministry added.
